Whether you are using speech to text to generate subtitles for your videos or live transcription to create subtitles on the go. Sometimes you repeatedly use words or name that might sound like another, or is a completely made up word - like many company names, which aren't always interpreted right.
With the functionally of Custom Dictionary you can add instruction of how similar sounding words should spell out.
Custom Dictionary can be found under the general settings tab and is accessible to anyone who has rights to use the Speech To Text functionalities.
As an example, on our internal accounts there are a few places where the video mentions "Qbrick", unfortunately, it is very common for the speech to text engine to interpreted it as "Kubrick".
This can be very a very tedious task going forward having to correct every time speech to text gets it wrong.
To circumvent this issue in the future we can go in to settings under Custom Dictionary and add a new word.
We know that the word we want is "Qbrick" and the speech to text transcript shows it as "Kubrick", and the language is English, and then save the changes.
After that we can re-run the transcript of the video to see that it works.
